Mapping time
Scotland- 2005
The project attempts to examine the existence of the fourth spatial dimensions (time) through design.
Grey Mare's Tale waterfall is a mathematical data of the geological time that shaped the landscape.
The proposal is an exhibition of the contextual time, mapping its traces, framing it and projecting it on a structure.
The building grows from the land as an extension to it, and follows the shape of the water. A cut through the roof provide a gradual transition from outdoor to indoor space.
The building works with the contour lines rhythm. Openings slice through the building so the structure becomes a series of spatial cross-sections, set along time axis.
