Heritage Village
For Ministry of Culture
Kuwait 2014
As a part of permanent exhibition in Kuwait, each of the gulf countries is to display their heritage, identity and culture in a building.
In the elongated building, the proposal creates a sequential experience throughout a slice of a village, traveling through spatial cross-sections of Bahrain:
1- Palm trees farm, to start with what the island was
known for, the country of million palm trees.
2- The alleys of the residential area and the
courtyard houses.
3- The market with the old cafe’.
4- Finally the sea at the end of the journey, to
display the pearling experience.
A sensory experience that celebrates sight, sound, smell, taste and touch.
A journey that starts and ends with nature.
