Inspired by the watchman’s chair, a  Western European design developed in the late medieval times…

 

The chair design in a way so the watchman could not fall asleep without sliding downward and off the front of the chair.​

The calligraphy represents all the stories that the watchman witnesses through his day, all the things he hears, bits and pieces of words that pass by him, carved in him…
